New York City, New York (Hybrid: 2 Days Remote/ 3 days in Office)

ARC Group is currently looking for an Audit Manager to join our client who is a Fortune 500 company. The department is located in New York City and this opportunity is a hybrid environment with 2 days remote. The right candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience leading audits and performing in the role of auditor-in-charge and a CFA is required. In addition, the selected candidate will have a Minimum 6 years of audit experience in areas related to capital markets, equity and equity-linked products, derivatives, front office risk management, laws and regulations, banking regulations, local standards, and internal policies.

This is a direct-hire opportunity in a hybrid work environment. The right candidate must have permanent US work authorization. This position can only be worked on W2. No other payment term, visa transfers or visa sponsorship allowed.

Job Description:

This job is responsible for overseeing assigned areas of audit work acting as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), and executing on the audit strategy for Lines of Business (LOBs). Key responsibilities include driving risk-based auditing by defining scope and test procedures to evaluate the control environment in conformance with audit policies, assessing issues for business impact and recommending severity ratings, drafting audit reports, and managing business partner relationships. Job expectations include fostering an inclusive work environment, and mentoring team members.

This job is responsible for overseeing assigned areas of audit work acting as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC), and executing on the audit strategy for Lines of Business (LOBs), primarily of Global Markets Equities, Futures and Options, and Research. Products include cash equities (high touch and low touch electronic trading), derivatives, prime brokerage, stock loan and other structured equity financing products. Familiarity with US equity market regulations, exchanges/execution venues, clearing and settlement processes is preferred.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead audits and act as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) for assigned areas, focusing on Global Markets Equities, Futures and Options, and Research.
  • Develop and execute audit strategies, define audit scopes and programs, and draft comprehensive audit reports using innovative methods and automation.
  • Assess business impacts, provide severity ratings for issues, and escalate trends or themes as necessary.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment, mentor team members, and maintain strong business partner relationships.
  • Utilize deep product and technical expertise to challenge and improve the control environment.
  • Support regulatory exams by preparing materials and responding to inquiries promptly.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of audit experience in capital markets, equity products, derivatives, and front office risk management.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading audits and acting as auditor-in-charge.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field preferred.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or relevant securities licenses preferred.
  • Intermediate analytical and automation skills (SQL, Alteryx, Advanced Excel, Access) are advantageous.
  • Experience in a large global financial institution, particularly in banking or brokerage, is beneficial.



Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative field or Master of Business Administration.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or relevant securities licenses preferred.
  • Intermediate Analytical / Automation Skills (SQL, Alteryx, Advanced Excel and Access)
  • Experience of working in large, global financial institution, preferably a bank or large brokerage house.
