Job Summary

Thisrole is responsible for developing/implementing the Supply Chain Sustainability objectives and activities across the enterprise in support of CenterPoint Energy's Supply Chain Sustainability strategy. This position will continuously benchmark and implement best in class strategies for the Supply Chain Sustainability and Investment Recovery functions. The position is expected to demonstrate a broad-based and effective knowledge of s of Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Sustainability and Investment Recovery operations

Essential Functions

  • This role will lead a team and spearhead initiatives to optimize Supply Chain Sustainability and Investment Recovery processes, thereby delivering significant benefits to the organization via maximizing sustainable procurement practices
  • Leverage strategic analysis, policy development and technology integration to further increase sales returns while promoting environmental stewardship and operational efficiency.
  • Deploy an effective strategy to assess and mitigate environmental and social risks within the supply chain
  • Ensure Supply Chain Sustainability benchmarks and reporting metrics are well-established, measured, and maintained; Monitor regulatory requirement s and ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Manage process improvements, data collection and strengthen data integration through automation and analytics
  • Engage stakeholders across the supply chain to promote sustainability initiatives and foster buy-in
  • Manage the functional teams/processes necessary to fully integrate Supply Chain Sustainability and Investment Recovery considerations into the relevant enterprise functions
  • Deploy an effective IR modernization strategy to improve results of the asset redeployment, assets divestment and waste stream management processes; maximize the returns, drive cost savings8 and efficiency gains.

Education Description

  • Bachelor's degreeis required

Experience

  • Seven (7) years of experience in any of the following areas: project management, corporate sustainability, procurement category management, supplier diversity, investment recovery, environmental services or finance support for business.
