Job Summary The role of the Manager, Supplier Diversity & Inclusion is responsible to drive the maturation of the Supplier Diversity program strategy, leading both internal and external efforts. This position will continuously benchmark and implement best in class strategies for supplier diversity. This position offers consistency, market development, supply chain flexibility, stakeholder satisfaction and regulatory value Essential Functions Strategically lead the development and delivery of an impactful supplier diversity strategy that effectively engages small, local and diverse suppliers. Develop and implement an overall strategic plan, including goals necessary to create a culture providing maximum opportunities for underutilized businesses to compete to become suppliers. Assist internal stakeholders with identifying potential certified diverse business enterprises for new procurement and outreach opportunities. Lead the Supplier Diversity and Development awareness initiative internally. Develop an effective internal awareness campaign for internal stakeholders that enhances support for our supplier diversity strategy. Develop strategic partnerships with resource groups whose purpose is to foster opportunities for diverse suppliers that enhances our ability to meet business objectives. Enhance the second-tier (tier 2) program, to include, defining and managing prime supplier participation requirements and processes; tracking and reporting spend; and benchmarking best practices with the industry trends. Develop and execute an impactful supplier development initiative. Quantify supplier performance improvements and evaluate their capacities and capabilities. Develop vendors collaboratively across business units to drive and integrate Supplier Diversity program company-wide. Develop, publish, and keep current supplier diversity internal and external communications, including website content. Plan and/or sponsor developmental/educational outreach events for small, local, and diverse suppliers in each of our service territories. Externally, this position will maintain current knowledge of all applicable state, local, and federal supplier diversity reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and maintain supplier diversity scorecard trends. Education Description Bachelor's degree is required Experience Seven (7) years of experience in any of the following areas: supplier diversity, project management, corporate sustainability, procurement category management or finance support for business.
