Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Gas Operations Dispatching Team, located in Evansville, IN.

You will have the ability to: be responsible for driving performance improvement and customer satisfaction by performing quality assurance activities, developing, and delivering appropriate and timely training for Dispatch employees.

Essential Functions

  • Identifies training needs, develops materials, and conducts individual and group training sessions to build employee competencies, ensure records/order accuracy and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develops, disseminates, and updates procedure and training manuals, reference materials and communicates process changes to support company and department business objectives.
  • Identifies improvements to processes and procedures and effectively communicates these ideas to management.
  • Consults with management, when necessary, to facilitate performance improvements.
  • Provides call monitoring in a manner that aligns with Company strategy.
  • Works with and maintains products/software related to call recording and evaluation.
  • Compiles and analyzes data, prepares various reports used to evaluate dispatch effectiveness.
  • Utilizes expertise of systems and customer service techniques.
  • Works independently, prioritizes workload in manner that promotes effective and efficient results.
  • Conducts meetings and occasionally facilitates training when group instruction is needed.
  • Represents Dispatch's interests in various projects, teams, committees, or meetings.

Education Description

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a degree, will consider a combination of education and related experience in natural gas operations totaling four (4) years, where each year of applicable college equals one (1) year, and each year of applicable work experience equals 0.5 year. Experience in lieu of education is in addition to the experience requirements.

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in natural gas operations or customer services.
