WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for:

• Supporting and coordinating operations within the Packing / Shipping Department. The role makes key decisions regarding the processing and shipping of orders, as well as all the supportive functions needed to maintain a proper workflow between the warehouse and the pharmacy floor.
• Maintains department budget, managing the department's workflow, and promoting safety and efficiency.
• Performs tasks to count, reconcile, and analyze consumable supplies.
• Works with vendors to order and maintain acceptable supply levels.
• Coordinating workflow within the packager and shipper role, promoting cooperative team relationships, and establishing daily priorities.
• Supports the training program of all new hires within the team up to and including packing and shipping.
• Maintaining performance tracking to ensure standards are met by individuals and the team. Insuring SLA and order aging goals are met.
• Researches and provides information regarding packing and shipping errors.
• Must have experience managing a team of 30 plus hourly employees.
• High speed sortation and order processing center experience is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead and coordinate the workflow internally for packing and shipping teams. Coordinate with other departments to create a flow of work that prevents bottlenecks.
• Interview and hire all new packer and shipper staff.
• Develop, mentor, train, and provide performance feedback, including our annual reviews, evaluating everyone's performance, laying out improvements and goals for future growth.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work with Director of Operations to implement policy or procedure changes.
• Comply with all SOP's corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA standards.
• Oversees the management and training of required staff including Team Leads and warehouse staff.
• Monitors and maintains attendance, performance and quality standards. Issues coaching and disciplinary action when necessary.
• Lead and participate in the operational workflow of packaging, shipping, and preparation of orders for carrier pickups.
• Facilitates regular, effective communication with internal and external business partners to ensure operational standards are met.
• Fixes and partners with automation vendors to troubleshoot technological and physical issues. Works with automation vendors during site visits.
• Performs root cause analysis to determine corrective / preventative action.
• Initiates, facilitates all supporting packing and shipping activities required to meet SLA and order processing requirements.
• Mentors and guides team leads daily. Provides direction for team. Is visible on the floor and available to answer questions and provide leadership to the warehouse staff.
• Creates and supports a positive atmosphere for the warehouse team to thrive.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and pharmacy dispensing floor.
