ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





The position works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Systems Control and performs the following functions:





  • Oversee and coordinate all day-to-day airlines activities
  • Coordinate flow of operational information to all departments and stations for use in planning
  • Monitor, maintain and address issues with on-time performance, baggage handling, flight irregularities and caliber of service
  • Responsible for airline recovery plans during times of disruption to the flight schedule and directing staff in irregular operations handling (diversions, cancelled flights, over-sale, delays, etc.)
  • Analyze future airline operations and assign/route aircraft to ensure all operational needs are fulfilled
  • Update and publish aircraft schedules communicated to the rest of the airline
  • Communicate all aircraft movements to the customer, down-line stations, and throughout the company
  • Prepare daily operational reports to communicate on-time performance and delay metrics
  • Responsible for enforcing and demanding compliance with all Company rules, regulations, and directives
  • Maintain complete knowledge and familiarity with all terms and conditions of Company contractual obligations, with particular emphasis on passenger service


  • Control handling and care of passengers originating, transiting, and terminating on any company flight; including manifest handling-preparation for crew and passengers


  • APIS reports and General Declarations


    • Assist company employees and passengers, assuring needs are taken care of; i.e., onward connections, hotel reservations, ground transportation, etc.
    • Facilitate handling of lost and damaged property


  • Accomplish such other duties as may be assigned by the Vice President of System Control or Manager of System Control.




QUALIFICATIONS





  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office required
  • Requires ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be willing to work 12-hour shift schedule including evening, weekends, and holiday
  • Must be organized, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent oral communication and phone etiquette skills
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills, display professional conduct
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE





  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of airline operations experience
  • Aviation degree and/or Dispatcher license preferred




PHYSICAL ACTIVITY





  • Stand - 5%

  • Sit - 90%
  • Lift - Up to 50 lbs




MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS





  • Ability to handle numerous activities at once and complete in a timely manner
  • Work with limited supervision and possess an impeccable attention to detail, excellent customer service and organizational skills required
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully with significant detail
  • Ability to make decisions which impact the department's credibility, and services
  • Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports
