Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
The Graduate Assistant (GA) for the Office of University Advancement is responsible for providing project assistance in regard to engagement, fundraising, and stewardship.

This GA will report to the Director of Alumni Engagement. This GA may also work to support projects/events (on and off campus) such as Signum Fidei Celebration, President's Circle Dinner, Alumni Day, Scholarship Orientation, Commencement, and other alumni events.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Assist in the execution of the overall mission of the alumni engagement effort through support of annual appeals, alumni engagement, special events, volunteer groups and donor stewardship
-Assist with fundraising and engagement campaigns, specifically gathering content/photos from archives and execution of corresponding direct mail pieces
-Assist frontline fundraisers with personal outreach in regard to giving, volunteering, events, etc.
-Assist with website page creation, editing, monitoring for campaigns/events
-Assist with data collection projects and maintain constituent records in database
-Perform any additional related tasks as required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Must be a graduate student enrolled in one of Lewis University's graduate programs who has skills and interests related to higher education external relations. Demonstrated computer skills, especially with Microsoft Suite. Experience with Microsoft Word Mail Merge is a plus. Oral and written communications skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines are required.

Work hours
Minimum of 20 hours per week; event coverage on weekends and nights. Year round position.
