Summary:

The Sales, Inventory and Operations (SIOP) Leader is responsible for establishing and leading Covetrus' Sales and Operations process within all our North American businesses. This person will drive the availability of products at cost efficient levels across the entire organization and is a critical component in the overall effectiveness of our business operations. This role will ensure alignment between sales, operations, supply chain, marketing, category management, supplier relations and finance to drive business growth and optimization through our network.

The SIOP Leader will serve as the subject matter expert for demand planning, network and strategy optimization, integration of new business and new product launches. This will be supported through monthly SIOP meetings to ensure team alignment. This position will help define the SIOP process, create standard procedures and lead initiatives supporting SIOP including implementing planning software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cross functional Leadership:

  • Lead cross functional monthly SIOP meetings (PMR, DR, SR, IR/MBR) with participation from executive team (President NA & direct reports) for all categories / customers in our North America portfolio
  • Create and continuously update content for each review, including formulation of KPIs, financial performance analysis, gap to plan/budget scenario planning, assumptions, risks & opportunities, and key decisions required
  • Lead cross functional alignment for each part of the business' operations to achieve targeted financial outcomes
  • Collaborate with leadership to incorporate organizational objectives and annual operating plan targets into the SIOP process and performance measures
  • Communicate with teams about promotions, new products forecasts, and launch timing updates

Process Design & Execution:

  • Develop systemic processes surrounding SIOP to institutionalize the model across impacted teams
  • Drive continuous improvement of integrated business planning (IBP) processes through which the organization achieves synchronization among all functions, including sales, inventory, and operations
  • Align with portfolio directors on delivering against defined P&L targets across our internal operations
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to ensure that the promotions, visible impact orders, and new product forecasts are included in the aggregate demand
  • Support Supply Planning team to deliver against fulfillment goals and manage overall working capital spend on inventory
  • Highlight and Assist in the resolution of key supply-demand/service-cost issues
  • Document assumptions, promotions, and adjustments to forecasts using Sales and Marketing teams' input and notify appropriate teams (Operations) of significant changes

Analytics & Insights:

  • Lead development of Tableau dashboard requirements that assess key areas of interest related to the SIOP processes
  • Review and analyze the forecast demand versus actual demand in support of the Demand Planning review to understand and identify major changes and trends
  • Analyze and upload timely and accurate periods of 12 months' forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions & stakeholders
  • Assist with the coordination, facilitation, and documentation of regularly scheduled planning meetings
  • Review, store, and backup final adjusted and unadjusted statistical forecasts
  • Measure, control, and improve SIOP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics
  • Lead network optimization process to mitigate costs and maximize service
  • Develop capacity simulation processes to run sensitivity analysis for growth

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with preference for a major in business-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • MBA or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent optional

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of business experience in Supply Chain Planning or related field
  • Experience in leading SIOP processes, specifically Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and/or Inventory Planning in an environment of both manufactured and sourced finished goods
  • Related supply chain management experience including design, implementation, and execution of SIOP related processes
  • Experience providing data analysis across cross functional leadership
  • Strong business acumen and P&L awareness

  • Must possess analytical, problem-solving, time management, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong PC skills with demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook e-mail.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent internal and external customer service as well as the ability to operate as a team member.
  • Strong influencing and overall collaboration skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong computer typing skills.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.

$107,500.00 - $199,600.00
