IT Cloud Support Engineer

Reporting to the IT Cloud Services Manager the IT Cloud Services Engineer will collaborate with internal resources and external contractors and vendors to execute initiatives across Bristow Groups cloud services, delivering high quality compute services. These services can include virtual and physical networking, servers, storage as maintained by the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) as well as monitoring and maintenance with on premise hardware. This position is a role that requires that you establish and manage expectations both internally and externally to drive the tasks required to a successful resolution and to accomplish expectations to a high standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT Cloud Services Engineer will be responsible for supporting IT cloud services and the delivery to end users. The position will manage and perform tasks and assist with projects in Azure, Citrix Cloud Services, Application Services, and some touchpoints or integrations to other Cloud providers and any servers maintained at physical sites on the Bristow Network.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the monitoring, control, and support of cloud services and systems; ensuring systems, methodologies, backups, and procedures are followed as needed or documented
  • Manage day to day activities of Cloud services particularly any maintenance to systems, checking daily backups, health/status/storage alerts, virtual servers, software upgrades, patch management, and routine system configuration
  • Assist the Manager, CSP, and IT teams to identify, diagnose and resolve all Cloud/On Premise server incidents and problems
  • Assist in the technical planning and delivery of global Cloud Services solutions projects, providing technical direction and guidance to internal and external teams
  • Assist in design and development of Cloud Services Infrastructure and documentation while ensuring that security standards, practices, and policies are incorporated into all Cloud Services Infrastructure
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect and support global business needs
  • 20% travel may be required. Occasional domestic/global travel required supporting corporate offices
  • Create or update runbooks with Manager/CSP for all servers and sub-systems where necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with 4+ years of experience in a similar role
  • 3 years of Cloud based experience with either AWS or Azure
  • Ability to contribute to a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing
  • Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • Ability to own support tickets, update consistently, and escalate when needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a can do/figure it out attitude
  • Good knowledge of ITIL and Change Management concepts
  • Good knowledge of VMWare, Citrix, PowerShell
  • Experience with managing third party technology and outsourced service providers
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management, and others outside the organization, including OEMs and technology service providers
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus
