The School District of Beloit has an opening for a Special Education Para Educator at Todd Elementary. This is a full timeSubstitute position. Candidates should have experience working with children with disabilities from diverse backgrounds, demonstrate flexibility, patience, and be able to work as part of a team. Rate of pay is $16.76/hour. Start date is: ASAP. Minority and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: 1. High school diploma, 48 college credits or an associate's degree; or pass a formal assessment test (ACT WorkKeys, Parapro-Assessment ETS, or ParaEducator Master Teacher) 2. Shall be eligible for Wisconsin Special Education Program Aide Certification #883 3. Ability to lift/move, 50 pounds where applicable 4. Possess basic information technology and media skills 5. Strong oral and written communicate skills 6. Present proof of physical fitness to assume all the duties of the job (standing, bending, kneeling, etc) 7.
