THE JOB:

As a Baker at Eataly, your role extends beyond following recipes and yield guides. You'll be instrumental in crafting unforgettable experiences for our guests. Your warm smile and attentive service will set the stage for each visitor's journey. By genuinely connecting with their stories and preferences, you'll personalize their experience, leaving them with cherished memories that linger long after they've left our doors.

STARTING RATE: $18

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Master the meticulous craft of producing delectable Italian-style desserts with precision and finesse, following recipe and yield guides to ensure consistent quality and flavor profiles.

  • Skillfully assist in the intricate decoration of cakes and pastries, ensuring each dessert is a work of art that reflects Eataly's commitment to excellence.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, paying meticulous attention to detail in plate presentation to elevate the dining experience for our guests, particularly when showcasing our delightful Italian desserts.

  • Vigilantly monitor and uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all assigned work areas, prioritizing the hygienic preparation of our desserts and pastries.

  • Efficiently process requisitions and ensure proper storage of ingredients in designated areas, safeguarding their quality and freshness to uphold our standards of excellence.

  • Thoroughly label and date products to maintain safekeeping and sanitation standards, ensuring the integrity of our dessert offerings.

  • Expertly set up and break down your workstation, facilitating seamless operations in our bustling kitchen environment.

  • Proactively run for food and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients required for service, demonstrating agility and foresight to support the demands of our dessert production.

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with management, chefs, and service staff, responding promptly and professionally to guest and employee needs to ensure a seamless dining experience.

  • Preform other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • Works varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

  • One (1) year baking experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Experience in a high volume/mass production kitchen.

  • Experience in a resort setting or similar.

  • Has formal culinary training.
