2nd Shift Crane Operator

Who we are looking for:

We are searching for a Crane Operator to be based out of our Phoenix, AZ facility. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this person will be responsible for using the crane to transport coils from trailers and rail cars to storage, and feed the entry side turnstile, and remove the coils from the exit side turnstile to staging area.

What you'll do:



  • Transport coils from trailers and rail cars to storage
  • Responsible for logging weight from scale to log sheets
  • Supply the Slitter with material
  • Remove slit master coils from turnstile and stage in proper area
  • Move materials as instructed by supervisor
  • Responsible for watching the load on the hook
  • Ensure the load on the hook is safe and centered
  • Must be aware of people on the floor and operate the crane with due regard for their safety
  • Responsible for keeping cab clean and orderly
  • Notify supervisor of any defects in the mechanical and electrical operation of the crane
  • Fill out safety check list before the beginning of each shift


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete initial training.
  • Be able to transport and supply coils
  • Assist production team with changeovers, and set-ups
