Program Director/Administrator (LCSW LMFT PsyD LPCC) Mental Health 162 "They made it easier for me to live, breathe, eat, and stay clean. Without them, I'd be waiting somewhere, waiting for someone to give me a chance to live..." - Client from Telecare Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals with complex needs in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. Telecare continues to advance cultural diversity, humility, equity, and inclusion at all levels of our organization by hiring mental health peers, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and all belief systems. About the Program: At Casa de esperanza (house of hope) we serve individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who have been faced with multiple acute psychiatric hospital admissions and have difficulty maintaining a residence and their independence in the community. We use various methods to connect with and support our residents in gaining skills and reintegrating into the community. These include regularly scheduled group sessions, appointments with psychiatric and medical staff, planned outings on campus, presentations about community resources, and involving families. We also take the time to recognize our residents' achievements throughout the month. Our members nominate and vote for a "Resident of the Month" who has demonstrated our and surpassed their personal goals in social engagement. The chosen resident is acknowledged during group sessions, with their name and picture displayed on the bulletin board, and they are treated to a lunch of their choice. We believe recovery starts from within, and our job is to do whatever it takes to provide the support needed on your recovery journey in a comfortable, structured setting. Our 4 "Casas" are 15-bed facilities that include a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and residential care staff. Our services emphasize choice-making skills and harm-reduction techniques. Staff work with you within your cultural dynamic in building independence and self-responsibility in order to nurture your recovery and successfully transition you home or to less restrictive community settings. The Casa staff are here to support residents on their journey of recovery along with Ventura County Behavioral Health Clinical Teams. We believe " teamwork makes the dream work !"
