We are searching for a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform a variety of duties including basic care, to perform a variety of duties including basic care including personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintaining of patient environment, providing assistance to licensed staff in carrying out other related duties, etc.

$1,200 new hire sign-on bonus for 1+ years of experience. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)



  • Hours: 32hrs
  • Shift: 11pm - 7am - Day/Evening shift, weekend & holiday rotation
  • Location: S-Bullard Pcu - St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

    • PCU is a 36-bed Intermediate Care, Telemetry unit. The goal of the unit is to provide high quality care delivered by skilled clinicians knowledgeable in the care of the cardiac patient. Each patient receives treatment and excellent care by registered nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The focus of care in this unit varies, including patients with acute pulmonary, medical, surgical and cardiac conditions. Maintaining expertise and quality care in this diverse population of patients is the mission of the Progressive Care Unit. Our team consists of professionals from varied disciplines who add support whenever needed in the area of nutrition, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation and care coordination.




Education and/or Experience Requirements:



  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
  • Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program is preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the equivalent is required. Will also consider nursing students whom have completed Fundamentals of Nursing/Nursing 101 in lieu of the CNA license.
  • Current CPR Certification is required.
  • Three (3) months experience in an acute care or long term setting is preferred.
  • In accepting employment with Southcoast, you understand that you are required to be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
