Assistant Director

Location: Marlborough, Ma.

Schedule: Full time. Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5pm

Possible evenings and weekends as needed

Pay rate: $46,000 - $48,000/annually

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or another related field preferred
• Supervisory experience and/or similar experience is preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in the substance abuse treatment field or similar behavioral health field is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
• *Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:

• Holds volunteers and staff members accountable for maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and dignified environment.
• Maintains the on-site training log and ensures all required training is conducted and documented as required.
• Assists the Program Director in supervising all staff members.
• Performs community education, promotes the center to outside agencies/people and encourages use of the Peer Recovery Support Center
• Networks with community organizations and establishes linkages to benefit members who may be in need of their services
• Oversees the Community Needs Assessment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of services and programs within Spectrum's continuum of care and knows where to access additional information on Spectrum services and programs.
• Refers clients to services using Spectrum's continuum of care and demonstrates efforts to maximize the internal referrals within Spectrum's continuum when appropriate.
• Assists with crisis management and other emergencies as needed.
• Maintains adequate knowledge of emergency procedures and trains others as needed.
• Completes incident reports appropriately and submits them to the Director within 24 hours of the incident
