Regional Director of Business Development - Remote to Florida

Surgery Partners is looking for a strategic, business development professional to join a team of highly motivated, collaborative leaders responsible for driving same store growth initiatives across our national portfolio of assets. Our growth strategy is aligned to our company's mission to enhance patient quality of life through partnership. This integral role will support physician recruitment and service line expansion efforts within our communities to provide patients with more access to convenient, affordable, high-quality care.

The Florida Region includes several of the company's most strategic markets, encompassing over 35 locations. This role will be responsible for developing strategic growth target plans based on the company goals, to increase our existing facilities' revenue by increasing the number of targeted physicians based on specialty, procedures performed, and case volume. The Regional Director will define the regional goals in conjunction with the VP of Business Development and SVP of Operations and manage the Directors of Business Development to maintain strategic focus and monitor budget performance. In the context of this role, physician recruitment refers to the process of relocating surgeons to different sites for their surgical procedures. Our objective is not to employ physicians.*

DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Recruit physicians to our facilities by establishing meaningful relationships and selling our value proposition.
  • Possess an undeniable passion for success in leadership, management and executing the sales process.
  • Lead a team of directors in the Florida Region.
  • Hire and develop top talent.
  • Player/Coach flex- executing on physician recruitment strategies as required by certain markets while also mentoring/developing others.
  • Ride-alongs with direct reports to provide support and manage performance expectations
  • Ensure that the team has defined their market targets, refined their strategy, and is communicating all activity effectively.
  • Demonstrate the fundamentals of selling / recruiting and recognize opportunities that enhance business value.
  • Serve as a mentor for the Directors of Business Development and provide resources to enhance their skillset and knowledge.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual growth budget for each center and comprehensively for the region.
  • Meet with key physicians and maintain executive-level communication (operations, development, finance, etc.).
  • Facility-level board meeting participation and engagement.
  • Ensures communications are coordinated throughout operations, facilities, and direct team members
  • Provide support to VP of Business Development for Executive Leadership presentations as required.
  • Partnership with strategy and operational teams to develop local and regional growth strategies.
  • Collaboration with Physician Relationship Management team to delineate responsibilities and align on collective growth strategy to support each facility.
  • Comply with all Employee code of ethics, job description, compliance, HIPAA, and all other job requirements.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • 7+ years of experience directly leading sales teams, healthcare and physician experience preferred
  • Proven track record of past sales experience and team success
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collectively
  • Proven leader, mentor, and coach with the ability to lead teams to meet goals
  • Experience with large healthcare organizations, as well as physician practices
  • Passion for leading and engaging a team
  • Ability to understand and adapt to a customer's business, needs, challenges and expectations
  • Very strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude with a personal drive to motivate others
  • Thrives in large corporations with the ability to adapt to change
  • Salesforce (CRM) experience, or other sales tracking tools
  • Experience with using data to support objectives
  • Financial knowledge regarding P&Ls, pro formas, and syndications
  • Must live in Florida with the ability to travel statewide up to 80% as required



SUPERVISION

The Regional Director of Business Development will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development.
