Job Title: Associate Laboratory Technician

Location: Elkhorn, NE 68022

Duration: 12 Months

Shift : 8 Am - 5 PM


Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:
*High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
*Formal education in a technical-scientific discipline preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
*Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented environment and coordinate multiple projects.
*Ability to effectively follow procedural guidelines.
*Strong computer skills with excellent communication and writing skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
*One to three years of experience in a biologic laboratory setting.
*Ability to support the troubleshooting of assay issues with a solid scientific foundation.
*Ability to successfully assume/complete additional technical responsibilities with little supervision.

Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Technician position is available at our Animal Health facility in Elkhorn, Nebraska, located on the West end of Omaha.
*Under general supervision, this position assists professional laboratory personnel by performing routine test media preparation, test sample distribution, laboratory equipment cleaning/sterilization, instrument calibrations, laboratory notebook maintenance and other duties as assigned.
*Reviews internal documents against regulatory requirements for accuracy and compliance.
*The equipment used includes but is not limited to: microscopes, centrifuges, dry ovens, pipettes, pipette aids, syringes, laminar flow hoods, balances, autoclaves, freezers, coolers, liquid nitrogen, etc.

Comments/Special Instructions

Animal health, USDA site experience would be beneficial
Daily function- support lab maintaining cell cultures. Support role but person will ultimately run their own lab in a sense. Independent worker
