Clinical Research Coordinator MED-CORE-DGIM Full Time 77914BR Job Summary ** This position is eligible for a hybrid work model. ** Integrating Non-pharmacological Strategies for Pain with Inclusion, Respect, and Equity (INSPIRE) is an NIH-funded digital health study that develops a chronic pain intervention for the Black, Chinese, and Latinx communities. The INSPIRE Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will be responsible for all daily, front-line operations of the project including coordination and oversight of improvements to the digital health intervention and cultural adaptations of study materials. They will oversee coordination across all study sites, subject recruitment, data collection, hiring/coordination of research assistants, preparation of grant reports, IRB submissions, schedule and record project meetings, and other essential coordinating and project management tasks. The CRC will be responsible for archiving and organizing clinical trial documents - including clinical study site documents - and e-mailing correspondence, training materials and other study documents. The CRC will perform advanced literature searches, liaise with transcription and translation service providers. The incumbent will work with the PI and the data analyst to create and maintain a secure project database. They will have weekly meetings with the PI and other key personnel to discuss enrollment, study protocols, emerging challenges and solutions, and upcoming study tasks. The CRC will assist with dissemination activities and the preparation of manuscripts. The INSPIRE intervention for chronic pain will be provided in English, Spanish, and Cantonese with a special focus on health equity for underserved and vulnerable patients. As such, the CRC will assist the team in creating, implementing, and sustaining a culturally sensitive team environment carefully attuned to community needs and engagement. The mission of the Department includes research, teaching, patient care, and public service. The Department has a decentralized organizational structure across four locations (Mission Bay, Parnassus Heights, San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System, and the Zuckerberg San Francisco General) and approximately 38 divisions. UCSF DOM has consistently ranked among the top four departments of medicine in the country. Authority and accountability of the Department rests with the Department Chair (leads Parnassus Heights site) and directs the Vice Chairs/Chiefs at the SFVAHCS and ZSFG.
