Department Information

Housing and Residence Life is passionate about the Georgia Tech residential student experience. With 97% of all first-year students choosing to live on campus, we create spaces and opportunities for Yellow Jackets to grow and connect from their first day of college through their graduate studies. We are proud to support our student's personal development and academic endeavors while providing a safe and comfortable living environment.

Our department is a large and complex organization supporting over 8,700 on-campus residents among 49 traditional halls, suites, and apartments, some of which were constructed for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Our team of 200+ professional staff and 300+ student staff among seven departments support residents directly and indirectly with their unique talents.

Job Summary

Provide promotional, administrative, performance assessment, and financial/accounting services supporting the operations student team development program for Operations and Strategic Alliances in Housing and Residence Life. These functions may encompass a variety of activities related to program success, including coordination of program marketing, program administration, program operations, and program development. This position will interact on a consistent basis with students, administrative management, staff, vendors, and sponsors. This position typically will advise and counsel students, administrative management, staff, vendors, and sponsors. This position will supervise Student Staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -

Design/develop promotional and marketing materials to help recruit student staff for the program in support of program outreach efforts

Job Duty 2 -

Plan, schedule and coordinate promotional events. Develop and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient task allocation for those events.

Job Duty 3 -

Coordinate administrative activities associated with program operations such as procurement, records maintenance, compliance, meeting arrangements and minutes, and document preparation, including creating training materials for the student staff in the program.

Job Duty 4 -

Develop, analyze, reconcile, and report financial data related to program operations.

Job Duty 5 -

Develop and maintain performance assessment tools applied in program review to measure and report student staff progress to meet the departments goals, objectives, and mission.

Job Duty 6 -

Collaborate with internal and external entities to aid institutional or program support.

Job Duty 7 -

Select and recruit student staff to meet the needs of the program

Job Duty 8-

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

Four to six years of job-related experience

Proposed Salary

Pay Range: $53,687-$71,937/yr

Job Grade: A8

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS

This job requires a working knowledge of research program promotion and administration. Included are skills in development and administering program assessment tools, marketing, and financial analysis and reporting. Skills in planning, organization, spoken and written communications, scheduling, and customer service are also required. Office and specialized computer applications and databases are required.
