Description Leidos is seeking a motivatedQuantum Technologies Intern. The position will be based out of our Arlington, VA office, which is within walking distance of the Ballston Metro stop. This candidate will work with other researchers and engineers in research projects focused on exploring quantum technologies focused on communications and sensing, with relevance to Leidos' internal projects and customer-focused efforts related to quantum information science. Potential tasks that the candidate could perform include but are not limited to: hands-on lab work, data processing, signal analysis, and research in support the development of use cases and workflows that feature the application of quantum technologies in structured, scientifically-rigorous experiments; supporting the integration of novel and/or experimental technologies in the context the use cases and/or workflows; analyzing and reporting the results of the experiments for review by senior scientists, engineers, and other senior decision-makers. While experience with quantum computing algorithms or hardware may be beneficial, this position is NOT a quantum computing position. The candidate must be intellectually adaptive, inquisitive, communicative, a self-starter and problem-solver, and self-managed when necessary. The intern will also perform statistical analysis of the research to include visual and graphical presentation of results for decision-makers. Primary Responsibilities
