World Electric is hiring an Inside Sales Associate to join our team!

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Starting Rate: Competitive hourly rate and commissions with full benefits package

Position Summary: Ensures customer satisfaction through processing orders and coordinating customer service needs with other functions within the branch. Serves as customer contact regarding such matters as pricing, scheduling and shipping. Responsible for performance in areas of sales, gross margin, gross margin percentage, market share growth, and profitability of all product lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

  • Receive calls from customers to explain type of service or product offered.
  • Quote prices and use sales skills to complete the purchase.
  • Secure and place orders with others for filling and arrange delivery date.
  • Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
  • Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited.
  • Work with the outside sales and manager to secure customer satisfaction on all accounts.
  • Ensure customer returns are handled in accordance with company policy
  • Prepare and work reports on sales activities and expediting.
  • Source product for "special" and "direct" non-stock customer orders
  • Assemble all information necessary for a customer quotation
  • Prepare customer quotations and analyze quotation results
  • Provide appropriate report information to sales management and outside sales
  • Perform other duties as management deem necessary

Qualifications:

  • Two-year certificate/degree from college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as training instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to interface in a customer responsive manner over the telephone and in person. Able to handle difficult customer situations with diplomacy.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The individual must be entrepreneurial and assertive and possess the experience, skills, and attitude to be able to achieve the company's market share/revenue goals.
  • Experience with Eclipse preferred.
