Avnet, Inc. seeks an Application Developer III - BI HANA Development for its Phoenix, AZ facility.

DUTIES: Develops, maintains, and enhances business applications. Collaborates with stakeholders to validate user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options. Assesses objectives for assigned project phases and recommends technical strategies and tactics to achieve business needs. Uses process design technology methodologies, programming languages and tools and solutions design techniques to develop applications to meet business specifications. Validates functional specifications, builds technical specifications and develops application documentation. Performs analysis, design, development and testing of applications to solve business requirements. Integrates new or enhanced application components. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Supports change readiness initiatives as needed.

Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, or closely related technical field or foreign equivalent and three (3) years of experience as an Application Developer III or related occupation performing BI HANA application development. Or, alternatively, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, or closely related technical field or foreign equivalent and five (5) years of experience as an Application Developer III or related occupation performing BI HANA application development. Must have 3 years' experience in all of the following: SAP S4/ECC data structures and processes; Project experience with development of SAP Analytics Cloud based on CDS views and/or HANA views; Using a range of SAP Cloud services, including SAP S/4 HANA Cloud and SAP Business Technology Platform to facilitate business processes and collaboration; Business and functional requirements validation; Designing and developing data dictionary objects, data elements, domains structures, views, lock objects, federated search helps, and in formatting the output of SAP/BI-HANA solutions; Developing reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and reports (RICEF); Experience with SAP Scripts, SMART forms, ADOBE forms, Tableau, SAP Crystal report, Power BI, and Cognos; and Design and development of BI-based architectural design standards. Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
