Job Summary

The Financial Analyst is a key contributor of the Amplity Finance team, with a focus on creating value and long-term success for Amplity through contributing to client finance, client accounting and client/project financial analysis. The individual must be able to coordinate multiple priorities and communicate objectively and confidently. The individual also needs a high level of computer aptitude and business sense. Takes the lead in client meetings and manages the financial business relationship with clients. This is a critical business facing role that could lead to upward mobility within the organization. Amplity has a current opportunity for a Financial Analyst with contracting experience. This is a remote opportunity for those residing in the Eastern time Zone. Job Responsibilities

Acquisition Onboarding - Assist with all customer, project and contract setup for recently acquired business.

  • Work with implementation team to load all active contracts into Workday
  • Partner with finance colleagues, as well as various other departments, to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with developing standard operating procedures for contract coding and maintenance within Workday, billing, and account reconciliations

Financial Analysis - Assist with analysis of client/project level financial information in support of decision making

  • Contribute to regular actual vs estimate reporting
  • Contribute to analysis of client profitability and client realization for internal business analysis, and corporate reporting where applicable
  • Prepare regular actual vs estimate reporting, and review with account teams to ensure proper tracking against expectations and proactive identification and escalation of issues
  • Compile and perform analysis on project staff billability, identifying areas of concern to Finance, HR and Project Management teams
  • Perform balance sheet account analysis to confirm accuracy

Client Finance and Accounting - Ensure data related to client financial transactions is reliable, timely and accurately accounted. Responsible for timely & accurate client billing.

  • Monitor Pass Through cost posting and invoicing
  • Demonstrate general understanding of client finances & fees
  • Prepare client reconciliations and respond to ad hoc client requests
  • Review client documentation (Statements of Work, fee estimates, purchase orders, etc) in support of billable projects to ensure they adequately support client accounting transactions
  • Prepare monthly billing for a selection of clients
  • Prepare monthly revenue recognition and other adjusting journal entries
  • Monitor issues related to overdue collections and cash applications

General Tasks - Assisting the Finance manager in the direction of the accounting functions of an organization.

  • Assisting in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements
  • Preparing monthly journal entries
  • Conducting account reconciliations and analysis
  • Assisting in the company's monthly and yearly closing
  • Providing audit support for annual audit and client audits as requested
  • Assisting in special projects whenever asked

Job Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance from accredited college / university
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly organized and able to work according to fixed calendar cycles
  • Strong Excel competency

Desirable

  • Experience with Workday Financials highly recommended
  • Global experience working in a large multinational company
