Our mission is to make biology easier to engineer. Ginkgo is constructing, editing, and redesigning the living world in order to answer the globe's growing challenges in health, energy, food, materials, and more. Our bioengineers make use of an in-house automated foundry for designing and building new organisms. The Facilities Maintenance Technician reports to the Sr. Manager, Facilities and Engineering and will be responsible for the execution and delivery of facility maintenance and repairs for the Facilities Operations team. This role will be under direction to ensure equipment and facilities remain fully maintained and in operation that will minimize or eliminate unplanned events resulting in equipment downtime. As a result, you will develop relationships with scientists and other stakeholders to provide support and expertise for their areas of work and equipment they utilize or require in order to provide the proper environment to maintain their productivity at the highest level. You may also be leveraged to assist with revision, review and/or create maintenance procedures and work plans in collaboration with engineers and management. You would be responsible to execute these work plans and appropriately document within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This role may be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key vendors and service providers. Internal Title is Facilities Engineer 2. Responsibilities:
