Overview

The Assistant Business Manager supports the Business Manager's efforts in all duties and responsibilities, including key supplier relationships. This role serves as the central point of contact for all pricing, business planning, margins, investments and inventory recommendations for assigned suppliers. Working knowledge of SAP beneificial (but not required).

Position will be based in the Commerce, CA office.

Salary and Benefit Statement:

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience.

Compensation package: Range: $76,800- $96,000

This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan.



Responsibilities

    Executional Strategy and Critical Thinking
    • Participate in fiscal and quarterly planning sessions with business planning teams
    • Go to Market Planning/Implementation with Supplier and BBG executional sales teams
    • Analyze Nielsen and Depletion trends to support ideation of initiatives and programs
    • Development of sales execution strategies through ideation and collaboration
    • Analyze supplier strategic pricing objectives in conjunction with BBG margin objectives
  • Inventory Management
    • Support management of warehouse inventory levels by consistently providing brand program information to Purchasing Team.
    • Communicate market brand and consumer developments, trends, and best practices. Identify and propose solutions to competitive activities.
    • Monitor business performance and implement corrective business building activities. Participate in driving digital activation activities.
    • Utilize available tools to maintain accurate pricing and product information.
    • Create specific, measurable, and achievable goals in Goal Model template for Sales Representatives to execute against that drive supplier objectives.
  • Market Engagement
    • Salesforce & Supplier Work-Withs
    • Account calls/sales force support
    • Blitz coordination & implementation
    • Attend & support preparation of planning/progress/council meetings and leadership calls
    • Attend & Support GSM & Supplier Kickoffs
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales and business development
  • Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Budget and/or P&L experience with major CPG company

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
