Description The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Workers Compensation Specialist/Claims Examiner to work at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This HR division manages all workers' compensation claims DOT-wide and provides comprehensive/expert guidance and direction to both internal and external customers. The selected Workers Compensation Specialist will ensure that program management is in accordance with government regulations and procedures and in a manner consistent with all DOL, DOT, FAA, and AHR performance targets and metrics. Additionally, he/she will ensure established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allow considerable discretion for employees to select the most appropriate approach(es) or develop new approaches. Assignments regularly require interpretations of internal and external policies and extrapolations from precedents Primary responsibilities:
