Description

Denison University's Department of Anthropology invites applications from dynamic teacher-scholars for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in cultural/linguistic anthropology to begin August 2024. We welcome applicants with research expertise in any region.

The successful candidate will make important contributions to the anthropology curriculum by teaching six courses per year including the following core courses: Introduction to Anthropology, Ethnographic Methods, and History of Anthropological Thought. Other courses could reflect the candidate's areas of research expertise.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in Anthropology by August 2024. As a liberal arts college, we will prioritize candidates who evidence experience in and commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
