Inside Sales Representative

Arconic is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Massena, New York. This role will provide customer service support to our customer base with responsibilities in our pre-sales and quoting activities. The successful candidate will develop knowledge of our business practices, products and manufacturing processes while collaborating across functions to achieve business objectives.   • Manage day-to-day activities and execution of our customer connection - follow established contract review procedures and provide accurate quoting, order entry, status, shipments, returns, credits, and customer portals; being proactive when interacting with customers and resolving potential issues; asking for orders; thanking the customer for their business.
  • Meeting/exceeding order entry and status response time goals. Support Quoting activities.
  • Understand Arconic Extrusions strategic initiatives and influence customer behavior - NPS scores, gain market share, competitive pricing and market intelligence. Provide objective feedback to commercial and marketing teams.
  • Act as a customer advocate - Ability to reach across departmental boundaries to satisfy customer inquiries. The Inside Sales Representative is accountable to manage issues outside the traditional bounds of responsibility when required to satisfy a customer or business objective.
  • Turn Quotes into Orders (Capture Business) - substantial focus on capturing business with our customers; if not obtained, what was the competitive situation and why business wasn't captured by Arconic. Specific weekly and monthly targets must be achieved. Provide feedback to commercial and marketing teams.
  • Post Order Management - manage unadjusted items, process claims and negotiate settlements. Meet unadjusted items objectives.
  • Serve as the liaison, the glue and the driver of issue resolution between the customer, plant, quality, supply chain and finance to pull together all necessary resources to resolve any issue.
  • Provide support and anchor with Account Managers, Sales Directors and Marketing Managers to negotiate competitive pricing, quality, delivery and lead-time with customers.



Compensation



  • Base salary range: $55,000 - $75,000

Basic Qualifications



  • This individual must have good computer skills (Windows, Excel, Word), be self-starting, dependable, and be proficient at written and oral communication.
  • Must be capable of handling multiple requests while maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor with our customers.
  • Ability to travel (<10%).
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Associate degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Communication, or Marketing from an Accredited Institution.
  • 3 years of experience in sales, project estimating or related construction field.
  • Product and manufacturing knowledge.
