This position plans, organizes, and provides leadership to comprehensive Student Life programs and initiatives. The Associate Director is responsible for day-to-day operations, programming, vision, and budget for several areas including, but not limited to: the Student Organization Team, Leadership and Service Programs, and Highlander Spirit and Traditions. The Associate Director supervises two Senior Coordinators who oversee these areas and is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive student activities programs that support a campus environment that is welcoming, safe, and supportive. The Associate Director will engage and connect with the surrounding local community, supporting Good Neighbor communication and engagement. This role will collaborate closely with campus partners across Student Affairs and campus, such as the Identity Centers, Residential Life, Highlander Student Union, Associated Students, Student Conduct &Academic Integrity Programs, Health, Wellbeing and Safety, and others. This position works in collaboration with the Music Department to support aspects of the Highlander Pep Band. The Associate Director will assist in the management of an annual budget. Oversees the implementation of the Student Life strategic plan to ensure the goals are achieved. The Associate Director supports and supervises Student Life Front Desk Student Program Assistants. This role must work regularly with campus partners across the institution on an array of committees on behalf of Student Life and Student Affairs. This position will support large-scale events and programming as needed. This position will support Student Life events and the mission, vision, and strategic plan, which includes a focus on social justice, leadership development, and creating a sense of belonging for students. This portfolio may evolve in the future.

The full salary range for the Associate Director of Student Life is $64,300 - $114,300 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $89,300 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.
