Business Incubation Program:

The UCF Business Incubation Program is a university-driven community partnership providing tools, training, and infrastructure that enables early-stage, scalable companies to become high-growth enterprises anchored in Central Florida. With nine incubator sites across Metro Orlando, the Incubation Program is a key contributor to the economic development and vitality of the region.

The Opportunity:

The Marketing Coordinator at UCF in Kissimmee plays a vital role in fostering high-growth businesses and collaborates extensively with other support organizations. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Incubator's operations, programming, client support, event/project management and marketing efforts, working directly with the Site Manager and the UCF Incubation Program team.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist Site Manager with functional operations including but not limited to facilities, marketing, scheduling, and general interactions with clients and the general community.

  • Assist in the daily operation of the UCF Business Incubator in Kissimmee.

  • Coordinate with incubator clients, prospects, service providers, stakeholders, vendors and visitors.

  • Support the Site Manager of the Business Incubator.

  • Create innovative and relevant content to increase the visibility of Incubator, clients, and graduates.

  • Collaborate with UCF Business Incubation Program (BIP) Marketing Coordinator and media relations firm to create and distribute news, stories, and information through a variety of media channels including BIP social media, website, local and regional news sources, etc.

  • Coordinate planning, promotion, registration, and invoice management for education, training, and other client support events and activities.

  • Manage scheduling, maintenance, and use tracking of conference and meeting rooms for clients and outside organizations.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. .

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of administrative duties in a corporate or higher education setting.

  • 2+ years of event planning and marketing experience.

  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service with effective written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and/or prior project management experience.

  • Prefer candidate with the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish in order to work effectively with customers and team members.
