POSITION:
Supervising Attorney (Full-Time Position) CLOSING DATE: Position Immediately Available and Closed When Filled LOCATION: Hybrid/Remote - Dallas, Texas OVERVIEW: Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas (LANWT) seeks a dynamic, self-starting attorney with vision, initiative, and a demonstrated commitment to public interest law to help in the management of its Dallas office. In addition to providing daily legal representation to clients, the successful candidate will supervise the work of the team and collaborate with partner agencies, including school districts, medical providers, shelters and crisis centers to provide coordinated, holistic advocacy. DESCRIPTION: Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas is a non-profit law firm that provides free civil legal aid to low-income communities in 114 counties in North and West Texas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal duties of the Supervising Attorney include overseeing the office's litigation and other advocacy, planning and implementation of outreach to and collaboration with members of the low-income community and community groups, and to foster supportive relationships with the local bar. The Supervising Attorney will also handle their own caseload proportionate to their management and administrative duties. Other responsibilities include:
