Job Description

Puget Sound Energy's (PSE) IT Endpoint Engineering team is looking for an expert-level Client Engineer with deep knowledge of modern end user computing solutions and capabilities including virtual and mobile technologies.

As an Advisor IT Endpoint Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of the end user computing experience that unleashes our end users' productivity. You will be empowered to own and deliver client focused technologies that enable our business users to be agile and work from anywhere, anytime and on any device.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities

* Research and lead the design of modern end user computing solutions

* Define and promote end user technology standards for hardware, OS, core applications, and peripherals

* Evaluate, establish, integrate and maintain end user technology applications used to manage desktops, laptops, virtual desktops, virtual applications and mobile devices

* Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis

* Proactively automate, streamline and simplify engineering processes and routine tasks

* Oversee the updating and creation of system documentation for engineering, operations, and support teams

* Lead and plan multiple cross company projects and initiatives that impact the end user computing solutions and experiences

* Operate under minimal direction and sometimes leads others

* Lead transition of operational tasks to managed service provider and act as an ongoing resource

* Provide guidance to other members of the team

* Provide expert technical advice to peers and leadership

* Participate in the on-call rotation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in related field, or combination of specialized training or experience and eight years of directly relevant experience.
  • Expert experience working with IT LAN/WAN network applications/procedures and processes.
  • Expert knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), and GUI interfaces.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows OS commands, software upgrades, and with network routing and bridging protocols.
  • Proficient in the understanding and troubleshooting of the Windows family of operating systems to include five (5) of the following nine (9) core competencies: AD, DHCP, FTP, Powershell, Email workflow, SCCM, SCOM, Win OS, DNS, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
  • Expert knowledge of performance monitors and debugger tools.
  • Expert experience with participating in projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Expert experience supporting Windows operating systems deploying enterprise-wide applications.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Self-driven, able to juggle many tasks under tight deadlines, and be comfortable bringing ideas to the table.
  • Strong documentation, teamwork and communication skills.

The pay range for this position is$110,400.00-$194,200.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
