Riverside Medical Group, part of the Optum family of business, is seeking a patient-centric Adult Primary Care - Advanced Practice Clinician to join our team in the Northen New Jersey market. Specifically, we are looking for full-time support at both our locations in Jersey City, NJ:

We provide robust outpatient, primary care services throughout Essex, Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, Somerset and Union counties with plans for continued growth in this dynamic and ever-evolving specialty. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.

Position Highlights:

Primary Responsibilities:







      • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused medical history and physical examinations.
      • Implement therapeutic intervention for specific conditions.
      • Order and perform diagnostic procedures and studies, such as EMG, Electrocardiogram, Compartment pressure measurements, X-ray examinations, CT, MRI, and bone scans.
      • Perform minor outpatient procedures, such as hardware removal, incision and drainage, K-wire removal, percutaneous pinning of fractures, tendon repair, wound closure, wound debridement, needle biopsy and wound care/management.
      • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as brace, cast, and splint applications, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injection of joints, joint and bursa aspirations.

Required Qualifications:



  • Master's degree as Nurse Practitioner of Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP, or as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA.
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Practice Nurse, ANP) or Physician Assistant license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Active and unrestricted CDS permit (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start).
  • Prior relevant post-graduate clinical experience highly preferred.



New Jersey Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $109,513 to $147,146 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
