Sentara Brock Cancer Center is seeking a Physical Therapist

Full Time (36 Hours)

As a cancer Physical Therapist with Sentara, you evaluate and treat patients with a variety of functional impairments related to their cancer. You help them everyday with regaining a piece of their independence and seeing their success.

Treatments focus on lymphedema management, scar tissue massage, posture retraining, upper or lower extremity range of motion and strengthening, patient education, and return to normal daily activities. You will find that teamwork is exception, with everyone working together to ensure the best care of our patients.

Job Summary

Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Master's or Doctorate Level Degree preferred. 1 year experience required for Resource Pool applicants.

For Hampton Roads Outpatient facilities only - Must obtain Direct Access certification within one year of hire for those with a BS or MS degree

Qualifications:

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Physical Therapy (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Other/National, Direct Access Certification (Physical Therapy) - Other/National, Physical Therapist License (PT) - North Carolina, Physical Therapist License (PT) - Other/National, Physical Therapist License (PT) - Virginia
