Western Door Federal is seeking a Senior Auditor with experience with Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) supporting our defense health client at Joint Base San Antonio, TX.

This is a full-time position augmenting the Defense Health Agency J-8/Direct Care Financial Management (DCFM) Division in the provision of financial management oversight of the Defense Health Program (DHP) appropriation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Work as part of a team to complete projects supporting analysis and audit operations
  • Evaluate the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems consistent with FISCAM guidelines
  • Determines the adequacy of financial internal control systems and recommends control measures as necessary
  • Determines need for and develops changes required to meet regulatory and systems documentation requirements utilizing a wide breadth of finance expertise, knowledge of governmental financial management requirements and originality
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:



  • Due to the nature of the contract, a US. citizenship is required.
  • Active Public Trust clearance.
  • BS. or B.A. in a relevant field such as business or accounting or significant years of experience in lieu of a Degree could be considered.
  • 7+ years combined experience with financial operations, audit or internal controls.
  • Deep knowledge of FISCAM guideline and procedures.
  • Deep understanding of Audits within the guidelines and principles of FISCAM.
  • Understanding of the Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) Program.


Desired Skills:



  • Demonstrated experience with government health institution financial operations.
  • Demonstrate a wide breadth of finance expertise and knowledge of governmental financial management requirements.
  • Master's Degree + 5 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with federal government and Military Health System (MHS) financial systems such as the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), the Defense Travel System (DTS), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and the Medical Expense Performance Reporting System (MEPRS).
