Pediatric Hospitalist (Nocturnist). Physician. Charlotte, NC

Atrium Health Levine Children's is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospital Medicine Physician to join their team of 75 + providers serving 5 Pediatric Inpatient locations in the greater Charlotte area. Join our dynamic team, working at the region's leading Children's Hospital, with both the general inpatient teams as well as our subspecialty services including hematology/oncology, blood and marrow transplantation, gastroenterology, and pulmonary.

Position details:

• Schedule includes 11 night shifts per month split between the general inpatient and subspecialty nocturnist services. Shifts run from 7pm to 8am (sign out is at 7am)
• General inpatient responsibilities include overnight admissions including supervision of residents, students and Advanced Practice Providers, cross cover of hospitalist patients and emergency response and Code Blue attendance.
• Subspecialty responsibilities include overnight admissions and cross cover of patients admitted to selected subspecialty services including Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Gastroenterology and Pulmonary. Additional support of general inpatient team is expected if able.

Qualification requirements:

• Board certified or eligible in General Pediatrics. Pediatric Hospital Medicine board certified or eligible is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with lumbar puncture, patients with medical complexity and progressive level acuity is necessary
• Experience in inpatient pediatric medicine is preferred, open to new graduates

The highly anticipated opening of the Wake Forest School of Medicine - Charlotte Campus in 2024 will provide additional opportunities for education, quality improvement and clinical research.
