Role responsibilities

As a Guidewire Business Architect, you are a ground-breaking leader with a track record of building high-quality enterprise Insurance solutions with Guidewire as the core Platform. You are results-driven and deeply understand Insurance COTS Products/Platforms, such as Guidewire, with good knowledge of the Insurance PnC domain. In addition, you are a person of high integrity who believes in challenging the status quo when needed while always first seeking to understand. You will work within a community of Technology and Functional leaders charged with establishing and evolving a unified core solution. This position will provide unrivaled exposure working with Fortune Global 500 across different Insurance product lines across the globe. Additionally, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve sophisticated business issues from strategy to execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients, establishing a business-driven vision for the future of their IT systems, processes, and infrastructure through the application of leading industry best practices in the PnC insurance domain
  • Build IT strategies and solution roadmaps for the core insurance platform, including well-articulated views of transition stages toward the final goal
  • Conceptualize and prototype innovative solutions to support and drive pre-sales activities and overall team growth in the Guidewire Practice
  • Build artifacts at appropriate levels of detail to be able to communicate optimally with both business and technical audiences
  • Define and detail critical design decisions of the solution based on the business objectives of the clients and Guidewire's Out of the box capabilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed coordination and liaison activities with business and technical teams during the solution design and delivery phases
  • Provide Functional/technical expertise for the evaluation and selection of software products that complement or co-exist in the Guidewire ecosystem, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations
  • Support Functional/Technical governance for Guidewire implementations against good industry practice, IT standards, and client policy
  • Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to bring value propositions to the PnC Ecosystem services
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.


Required Qualifications

  • 18+ years of insurance and business transformation services
  • Have extensive experience in leading Guidewire engagements both in on-prem & SaaS, preferably Policy implementations
  • Exhibits a complete understanding of Guidewire Insurance Suite products inclusive of core admin systems, Guidewire Rating, Data products - CDA, DataStudio
  • Design solutions that involve crafting business and technology implementation road maps, provide business/technology solution recommendations, and apply tools and techniques to develop and implement project phases in a Guidewire engagement
  • Ability to build an Implementation roadmap, Lob /State roll-out sequencing strategies
  • Strategic problem solver who can blend consulting and business strategy to develop client relationships, proactive deals, and partnerships
  • Excellent presentation and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Extensive experience with a global delivery model
  • Excellent client management, relationship building, and partner concern leadership skills
  • Mentor engagement leads / project managers


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Commercial & Worker's Compensation insurance product implementation
  • Understanding of implementation of ISO-compliant insurance products
