Primary Responsibilities:



  • Produces architecture design or develops code meaningfully to shared components across products and capabilities
  • Designs solutions to meet business needs within predefined enterprise or LOB architecture guideline
  • Crafts necessary team architectural patterns and selects tooling including technology choices and buy vs. build decisions
  • Creates design documents and defends architectural decisions with other lead engineers to gain alignment
  • Actively mentors team members primarily in 1:1 and small group mentorship sessions
  • Influences and mentors through code reviews, brown bags, tech talks, and design reviews
  • Actively develops threat prevention mechanisms and drives security best practice adherence in code reviews
  • Actively reviews others code for security vulnerabilities and ensures remediation
  • Actively attracts talented resources to fill roles within the org

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years in software engineering experience related to end-to-end delivery across components (from networking and infrastructure to DevOps, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience and understanding of ReactJS, Node, Java, Spring, and Cloud technologies


Preferred Qualification:



  • Degree in Computer Science or related field(s)

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
