Job Summary Farmers Information Security is a great place to learn and grow as an information security professional. We are looking for a talented cybersecurity professional to join our team. The successful applicant will have a passion for the security discipline and a willingness to learn fast. The Farmers Information Security team is responsible for defending Farmers Insurance and our customers from cybersecurity threats. This role will be a key member of the Security Service Delivery (SSD) team and will help drive our security initiatives and reporting efforts. Essential Job Functions - Build and manage relationships with a wide network of local business and IT front-line and senior stakeholders. - Work with assigned business units to help them meet Farmers information security policies and keep the IT leads informed of their security posture. - Work closely with other Farmers Information Security teams to understand security initiatives, provide project support, raise issues, and assist with communication to Farmers IT teams. - Consistently apply risk-based methodologies in order to identify, communicate and mitigate separate and distinct cybersecurity risks. - Manage the security of data and networks to meet all legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements. - Make recommendations for necessary changes to our security controls to address emerging security threats. - Analyze complex data about cyber security risk and compliance and present that information to Farmers leadership and other stakeholders. - Participate in audits of cyber programs and projects. Track audit findings and recommendations to ensure appropriate mitigation actions are taken. - Create, review, and update security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline preferred. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CIPP or equivalent Certification upon hire preferred. Experience Requirements One to three years professional experience in IT Security or Information Security Risk consulting, or comparable base of knowledge/expertise in the field required.
