Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks an Application Developer V to design, develop, and maintain software applications. Specific job responsibilities include: use a range of coding methods and adhere to coding standards to ensure consistent style and format; interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services; manage specialized system applications throughout their lifecycle to ensure application solutions meet business needs; analyze complex business requirements and user requirements and develop advanced, innovative and useful software solutions; lead complex or cross-functional projects and manage relationships with vendors and contractors; participate in all aspects of product development from advanced, detailed programming to high-level, complex system design; own the architecture and technical design for new initiatives and enhancements, create proof of concepts, lead and mentor teams, and maintain strong connection with the external teams; and enforce quality and best practices, support production issue and analysis, ensure project execution within the budget, provide estimate for the features and epics, and support pre-grooming. Option to work remotely is available. Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Web Developer, or similar position. In the alternative, will accepts a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related field of study, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Web Developer, or similar position. Must have 2 years of experience working in a corporate environment as a front-end UI/Web developer. Specific experience must also include: applying technical skills in complex website development including web-based application; working in system analysis, design, workflow architecture, development, testing, and maintenance of web based applications; developing highly interactive web application utilizing JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Angular 9, Bootstrap, Ajax, JQuery, and integration Restful API's; and working with web technologies and standards to deliver the best experience across web and mobile devices including responsive Web UI.
