What you'll be doing...

We are seeking a React.js front-end developer to work in the Digital Technology Team. You will work as part of a team to design and develop high-quality software solutions for web applications and mobile apps using React. As a React.js developer, you will implement new features and maintain existing code using React and other standard tools in the React ecosystem. Your duties will include designing software solutions to meet project requirements, maintaining and refactoring existing code, writing tests, and fixing bugs. As a React.js developer you'll work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge frameworks to back-end Java-based systems using the latest techniques. The ideal candidate will bring some baseline experience but an immense passion to learn emerging and traditional technologies such as Java, AngularJS, React, relational databases, and AWS/Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Developing new complex mobile applications from top to bottom (user interface design, application design, implementation, unit and functional testing, deployment to customers).
  • Implementing new features in existing mobile applications.
  • Liaisioning with product stakeholders, senior developers and cross functional teams in the organization to complete the projects on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Participating in peer code reviews, manage criteria applied during code reviews.
  • Investigating technical issues during the full development lifecycle.
  • Assessing feasibility, difficulty, and provide time estimates on implementing new features to an application.
  • Reviewing 3rd party applications and recommend the best in the market to our business partners. The candidate should have the skills to prepare and present the final recommendation.
  • Leveraging technical expertise in developing software that relies on Bluetooth to find nearby devices, connect to Bluetooth devices, and transfer data.
  • Coaching and developing team members to increase the team's bench strength and flexibility.
  • Translating business requirements into applications by implementing the best strategy to ensure the design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards.
  • Contributing to the high-performance of the agile-development lifecycle by ensuring productive, and successful sprints by working to reduce blocking issues for the team.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in RDBMS, writing SQL to perform CRUD (Postgress).
  • Understanding of Design Patterns in coding and Cloud Architecture in DevOps.
  • Experience in writing Junit Test case.
  • Knowledge of Telecom domain, products, understanding the network components, topologies, devices, etc.
  • Knowledge of Network Engineering / Field Operations domains.
  • Experience in emerging technology - AI/ML, Chabot, cloud.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, ReactJS, CSS, JQuery, DOM, HTML, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
  • Experience in UI design and Implementation
  • Knowledge of web application development fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of using analytical tools like Splunk, kibana.
  • Knowledge of containers using AWS EKS and Docker
  • Knowledge of network cache using Redis
  • Knowledge and experience with build and release management.
  • Knowledge of Technology industry and market trends to determine the potential impact on the infrastructure architecture.
  • Experience in maintaining and refactoring existing codebases to best practices and new technologies.
  • Understanding of network frameworks as well as third parties..
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills based on the project requirements.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues.
