What you'll be doing...

We are seeking a dedicated React.JS front-end developer. You will work as part of a team to design and develop high-quality software solutions for web applications and mobile apps using React.
As a React.JS developer, you will implement new features and maintain existing code using React and other standard tools in the React ecosystem. Your duties will include designing software solutions to meet project requirements, maintaining and refactoring existing code, writing tests, and fixing bugs.

You will be responsible for developing the application which takes care of the delivering backend services for the my Verizon mobile app, would be equally involved in the architecture and design of the application responsible for leading a small team of developers onshore and offshore and deliver the migration to the NSA platform.

  • Bringing in best practices with software development teams to gather requirements and ensure best practices are adhered.
  • Supporting performance testing and ensuring the team is able to come up with quick analysis on the LT result.
  • Being there for all platforms in the digital my Verizon app space and ensure all channels have optimal experience and think from OMNI perspective.
  • Supporting requests from IT/Business leadership teams to provide estimates and strategies for North Star application migration and integration.
  • Building scalable solution at the same time keeping the stability of the platform in mind.
  • Partnering with business teams and deliver an improved customer experience.
  • Conforming to existing industry and Verizon security coding standards adhering to fortify scan and other security tool review requirements.
  • Conducting code reviews for junior members of the team and do peer code reviews to make sure code is following standards set forward by the architects.

Where you'll be working...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Java / J2EE / JavaScript / UI development.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience in ReactJS, Service Workers (PWA), HTML, CSS3, Typescript, JavaScript, JSX, Java, Spring Reactive, Spring Boot, Struts, Oracle, Tomcat, Cassandra.
  • Experience in Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Spring framework & Reactive programming.
  • Knowledge of Cloud and Open source technologies - AWS, Docker, Kibana, Hadoop, Splunk, Git, Stash, NodeJS, npm, webpack, apigee, Redis.
  • Experience in developing applications on all device platforms - Desktop, Mobile and Tablet.
  • Experience in both adaptive and responsive designs.
  • Experience in unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG. Must have used Chrome simulators or testing frameworks such as Perfecto Mobile for testing on various devices.
  • Experience in designing and coding from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software apps Uses coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of software solutions.
  • Experience in leading Agile calls and work with stakeholders onshore and offshore to deliver projects on time.
