As our People Technology Manager, you'll lead a team of People Technology professionals responsible for Veolia WTS' current and future state HR systems deployment. Supports leadership's strategic and tactical objectives, serving as a trusted advisor to HR and IT Leadership Teams, Key Subject Matter Experts, and client interface for the organization's People Technology portfolio which includes HCM/HXM, Compensation, Security, Talent, Learning, Recruiting, Onboarding, Reporting, People Docs, and HR Ticketing system, as well as other HR system touchpoints (Kronos, ADP, etc.). Manages major People Technology project initiatives including the analysis, design, configuration, qualification, documentation, and roll-out of expanded People Technology modules to meet enterprise requirements.

Key Accountabilities

People Technology Leadership



  • Builds and develops a highly skilled team of HR professionals trained to excel in executing all aspects of the organization's HR Technology/HRIS strategy and mission
  • Utilizes exceptional people and resource management skills to allocate resources, assign work, provide direction, coach team members, develop talent and internal bench strength, evaluating individual and team performance against established goals
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive HR domain knowledge when devising solutions or servicing the needs of the client base; Builds breadth of HR professional knowledge across all HR domains
  • Displays a high level of expertise in the People Technology discipline; Stays abreast of trends and applies best practices by maintaining external focus
  • Champions technology-enabling change initiatives across the organization



Application Management



  • Strong working knowledge of Veolia WTS' HR Technology applications and associated business processes
  • Leads the activities to diagnose, document, and resolve complex HR application issues from a functional, administrative, and operational perspective
  • Exhibits a consistently high level of customer service, collaboration, and consensus building skills while working with internal clients and stakeholders
  • Leads user support, systems administration, and mass data management activities which include systems maintenance, data conversion, table maintenance, integration monitoring, mass data uploads, and configuration functions for People Technology applications
  • Leads efforts to create and publish People Technology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Acts as a key liaison to IT including prioritization, tracking, and approval of service requests
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HR applications including how to best leverage system capabilities to satisfy specific client needs



Project Management



  • Manages and delivers large, complex People Technology projects and system implementations
  • Management of outside People Technology vendors and service providers including planning and execution of upgrades, new releases, enhancements, and system fixes



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (List out required and preferred skills as applicable)



  • A minimum of seven years of relevant HR applications-related experience working in Human Resources Technology or an Information Technology environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of integrations, security, authentication, and IT related touchpoints
  • Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

    • Business and system analysis skills
    • HR domain knowledge and experience
    • Technology aptitude and learning ability
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including conflict resolution
    • HR Software experience (e.g. Workday, SuccessFactors, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc.) including application support, systems administration, configuration, and security administration


  • Ability to independently project manage technical projects, including hands-on testing
  • Position requires strong collaboration and consensus building skills, proactively partnering across the organization
  • Attention to detail, process orientation, and ability to provide detailed documentation required
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and ability to effectively scope technical parameters and anticipate impact required

Education & Experience

Required: Bachelor Degree required. Master Degree preferred in HR or IT related discipline.

Preferred (if applicable): Preferred Certification(s): PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PMP, SCRUM, Workday, SuccessFactors SFX

Working Conditions Position can be 100% remote with less than 10% travel for key meetings. Hybrid preferred.
