Lead Sterile Processing Tech - Hillcrest - 118374

The Sterile Processing Tech III is responsible and accountable for all activities and competencies related to sterile processing, supply, inventory, and equipment management. Ensures that instrumentation and equipment needed for surgery and various medical exams has been sterilized and assembled in accordance with regulatory guidelines and hospital policy. Ensures compliance with all record keeping requirements. Assists with ordering and procuring equipment and instrumentation as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education / experience.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
• Two (2) years of direct experience in performing SPD duties in an acute care facility.
• Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

• Sterile Processing Tech Certification.
• Three to five (3 - 5) years of experience in performing SPD duties in an acute care facility.
• Previous experience in a lead SPD role.

• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
