Overview

As a CEC Principal-Geotechnical Engineer you will be tasked to help grow the geotechnical practice. You will manage projects and project teams to navigate today's complex regulatory landscape, help our clients to secure permits and complete projects in a timely manner while achieving compliance with regulatory criteria. Your work will influence the entire project - from assessment and investigation, to conceptual design plans, through completion of permitting, bidding, and construction. You will also serve as a mentor to junior staff, region, field data collection, or engineering and environmental design parameters, as well as the regulatory criteria.



Qualifications

    B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with P.E. registration (M.S. preferred) or B.S. in Geology with R.G. registration (M.S. preferred);
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing operations-related infrastructure design, permitting and/or environmental compliance activities;
  • Strong working knowledge of federal environmental laws and regulations;
  • Experience working with all levels of regulatory agency personnel;
  • Demonstrated experience building a staff well as supervising technical and administrative personnel
  • Demonstrated success in the development and execution of business development strategies including creation of market/client intelligence, win themes, visitation schedules, client relationship management, and revenue generation;
  • Ability to prepare and review engineering drawings and plans; and,
  • Ability to speak and write professionally, including experience with preparation of regulatory submittals, as well as preparation and delivery of technical presentations to trade association groups.
