R&D Engineer, Sr II 39686BR USA - California - California Job Description and Requirements Emulation has become indispensable part of SoC designs verification w/ growing design size and complexity. Synopsys is uniquely positioned to offer the most complete verification and continuum emulation solution in the market today. Synopsys Verification Group is looking for an R&D engineer to work on the compiler for its FPGA-based ZEBU emulation platforms. Job Description: Designs, implements, tests, delivers, and maintains highly efficient algorithms and data structures in Emulation Front End stack. Participate in development on common Synthesis engine for Verification. Resolves issues in Formal/Simulation based equivalence checks on emulation model. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Requirements: PhD or master's degree in electrical and/or Computer Engineering with 5+ years or bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience. C++, STL, Multi-threading skills Good understanding on algorithm, data-structure, and problem-solving skills EDA experience in areas such logic synthesis, simulation, emulation, formal verification Experience with FPGAs is a plus. Research publications in computer engineering/electronic design and verification field is a plus. Familiar in scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, Python, Unix shell scripts. Experience with developing software into a large code bases desired Familiarity with industrial standard SW development and quality practices. Good communication skills, and verbal.
