To connect with us, visitwww.gannett.com Part-Time General Assignment Reporter The Ventura County Star/vcstar.com, the leading news organization for a diverse region of 850,000 residents and part of theUSA TODAY NETWORK, is looking for a part-time reporter to write community and breaking news about Ventura County. The reporter will be responsible for writing community news stories and contributing to the public safety beat with a team of other reporters. Candidates should have some experience reporting and writing news. The ideal candidate will be willing to collaborate and take initiative on a busy beat. This is an entry-level position designed to work three days or a total of 24 hours per week. We are located on the Southern California coast, within easy driving distance to Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Barbara and the Central Coast. We have beautiful beaches and mountains, with sunshine and mild temperatures most of the year. It's the perfect location for someone who loves the outdoors. Responsibilities:
