Job Summary and Qualifications You will demonstrate knowledge of physiology and function of the venous system of the human body, and collection techniques used to draw blood from patients.You will collect blood samples from patients per laboratory policy and procedure.You will decide the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient.You will practice proper patient identification.You will label blood vials according to established procedures including use of automated patient identification systems. What qualifications you will need: High School diploma or equivalentCompletion of a certified phlebotomy course (strongly preferred)Demonstrated phlebotomy experienceInterpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendorsGood phlebotomy, computer, and communication skills This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved). TriStar Summit is a 200 bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services.
