We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Planning Operations to join our Center Demand & Operations team. This role will enable operations teams across our clusters in driving operational effectiveness, data driven decision making through reporting analytics and strategic improvements.You will be accountable for driving operational efficiency, building operations capability that is driven by financial plans and analytics driven digital framework. This will involve being a problem-solver at the daily tactical level, while also translating the short-term solutions into long-term process improvements for the future.

This role will act as a trusted partner and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to unlock the best in-class planning capabilities through processes, data & analytics. We need this role to oversee key project deliverables for merchandise planning & inventory management function, drive the monthly sales & operations planning and seasonal investment reviews across clusters.This role is highly visible to the Leadership team, there will be frequent interaction with executives, and you enjoy creating excellent, customized communications for all levels.

About The Job

  • Builds, manage complex, effective merchandising/inventory planning that align with financial objectives; monthly forecast, AFP & SBP.
  • Serve as a liaison between merchandise planning, brand operations, product and finance operations to build delivery plans
  • Ability to review monthly forecast process and analyze against financial plans
  • You will lead a team of various abilities; Lead, coach and develop team members to ensure performance objectives are achieved and ongoing career development occurs.
  • Create & Coordinate a collaborative process for sales volume alignment that enables visibility to risk & opportunities both at pre & in-season instance.
  • Work in close relation with cluster buying & inventory management leads to achieve objectives, meet go-to-market milestones and forecasting deliverables
  • Ability to review & understand the Open-to-buy process and analyze against plans
  • Lead teams during the evaluation, design/implementation and execution stage as program leader on planning initiatives.
  • Develop tools and processes to ensure functional integration, and monitor accountability to anticipate and resolve potential issues. Collaborate with other team leads to ensure successful ownership and execution that minimizes risk to the business
  • You will provide oversight of team conducting data analysis across clusters, you will be required to provide direction and define consistent key metrics that can help benchmark across regions & within industry.

About You

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a strategic or operational role within planning or revenue operations, apparel, retail consulting or equivalent experience
  • Highly collaborative and able to effectively work cross-functionally or independently as needed.
  • Strategic thinker who can manage complexity and conflicting priorities; ability to identify growth opportunities, turn ideas into action, and get outcomes
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives
  • Experience working with Planning organizations and/or retail/wholesale environment preferred
  • Experience working with a Merchandise Assortment Planning tool and Retail planning experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills & attention to detail to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
  • Ability to asses business strategies and create aligned learning and development solutions to produce desired business results
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad, diverse group of business partners, mainly the cross-functional team.
  • MBA preferred
  • Ability to conduct market bench-marking and translate to meaningful insights

The expected starting salary range for this role is $173,000 to $262,600. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
