The DIA organization in US Innovative Medicines is the Novartis engine for achieving best in class Healthcare provider (HCP) experience and transformative digital patient engagement. The Customer Engagement & Enterprise Analytics group within DIA is seeking a highly motivated leader of predictive analytics and customer engagement effectiveness. This role acts as a translator, turning business needs into analytic initiatives and creating compelling, data-driven narratives based on those analytic outcomes. This person is a member of a team of data scientists with deep analytical expertise assigned by therapeutic area who are accountable for dynamic targeting of HCPs and resource allocation strategies for the therapeutic area. Strong understanding and experience in ML operations and ML/AI product development is needed as this role co-creates with the Data Science to build best-in-class machine learning models for dynamic targeting of HCPs and the Resource Optimization teams to optimize resources for brands within Therapeutic areas and the portfolio.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* You will partner with Integrated Insights, Finance, and other commercial teams to identify key issues, direct advanced analytic solutions, and translate the outcomes back to business partners to drive greater impact and effectiveness.
* You be a member of team of data scientists assigned by therapeutic area who are the single point of contact for all advanced analytics use cases in dynamic targeting, channel selection, NGE decision engine, and resource optimization. .
* You will co-create with the data science - machine learning center of excellence team and the resource allocation center of excellence team to execute on a roadmap
* You will collaborate with the Data Science team to develop predictive models for dynamic targeting of physicians & patients for each therapeutic area. The models will produce brand specific HCP target lists and optimized digital channels for engaging with physicians and patients
* You will partner the Resource Optimization team to guide the resource optimization modeling team in creating marketing mix and attribution models, Customer Engagement call plans, and digital channel recommendations
* You will collaborate closely with the Integrated Insights team and will have end to end accountability for business questions needing advanced analytics and modeling solutions from Integrated Insights, Product Marketing and Customer engagement teams
* You will conceptualize, pilot and deploy end to end advance analytic products across the portfolio and therapeutic areas
* Take a hands-on role and deliver on highly visible projects
* Bring a "can-do" attitude and teamwork, and inspire others on culture change

Minimum requirements

What You'll Bring to the Role:

Bachelor's degree required: B.S. in STEM, Economics. MBA or M.S preferred

A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in building predictive machine learning models and/or marketing mid models either in the commercial or biomedical space.

Previous experience in either pharma, biotech, healthcare or consumer products.

Understanding of Pharmaceutical data sets and use cases ideally in one of the aforementioned areas is critical for the success of this role.

Expertise in R or Python. Advanced knowledge of querying languages. Knowledge of Auto-ML platforms such as Dataiku or DataRobot

Ability to manage complex projects using agile/SCRUM methods.

Analytic product management experience.

Excellent communications and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex analysis and outcomes to a community of marketing and sales professionals

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $183,200 and $274,800/per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
